 Driver do not realise that where there is no footpath pedestrians have priority. We have even had cars stop and tell us to get off the road. Not at all surprised. Quite often you meet cyclists along a minor road travelling at high speed in the middle. No time for car or bike to avoid one another. Both sides have faults but sorry have followed too many queues behind cyclists in 1st gear because they are totally unaware of their affect on the rural environment, usually because they are on holiday and the rest of the rural population is not! Dear cyclists … please please PLEASE.. wear more visible clothes!! Only yesterday coming home from work along a country road came across a cyclis.   Jackie John a stomach is the organ in which food is broken down. When you have a c-section your stomach is most certainly not cut open so your comment is also wrong. The correct term to use would be abdomen. “Delivered through a cut in the woman’s abdomen and womb”. My wife had similar problem, emergency c-section, then infection, another surgery, blood transfusion. I’ve been told that doctors left some kind of tissue inside the wound during c-section which cause infection, they had to reopen the wound week after c-section. I never been explained what really happened! She is still recovering even after 4 years of giving birth. Grace, how realistically and practically can we do this? With conditions like HSV, many people are asymptomatic. Do we test every healthcare professional everyday for ‘every condition that can be passed on?’

We had an TV and radio advertising campaign telling us to act fast if we suspected that someone was having a stroke. My partner took a stroke on Sunday night. Ambulance service told us to expect to wait between an hour and a half and two hours for an ambulance. Luckily I was able to take her to hospital using my own transport. I also notice that the act fast advertising campaign has now ceased. It is all part of the decades long Tory plan, to starve the NHS, then privatise services, sliver by sliver while the public don’t notice. Where I live you see more and more ambulances that are not NHS, with charity or commercial business logos.

Finally I mixed feeling about this I soo glad he been released but feel so bad he had waited 15 years of damage the poor young person mental health. Its so sad that that he has missed so much time with his family. 15 years to reach a correct diagnosis and get the appropriate support system in is an utter joke. Great news he is now going home. Sadly this is not the last time that an article about this subject will be published. It is truly frightening and deplorable that we are living in the so called 21st century that this is still happening. The whole system isn't fit for purpose, but it will cost millions upon millions to fix it which the government aren't prepared to spend, always empty promises from them. Ever hopeful another operation in January for me but again positive seeing jane on 19th December at her Xmas concert and going on her trip to Rhodes in May next year I am determined to go focusing on the goals in front happy goals thinking of you and sending love and all the best as you move on after today. I’m not sure this has anything to do with personality types.

  I cannot comprehend how people can be so selfish to think that getting a dog in lockdown only to get rid of it when life returns to normal is ok. Don’t get me wrong many dogs bought in lockdown will be staying in their forever home but too many won’t and will end in shelters or worse. This is awful. On the other end is peope like me who would like to rehome another dog. (Always had dogs and cat) but because we have 1 dog, 2 cats and 2 children we are ruled out of most. We can offer a loving, active and caring home and I do not wish to buy a puppy when do many are sitting in kennels waiting to be loved. The criteria to rehome a dog is madness! I understand safety etc but they need to be open to people who want to apply but feel they can't. I wasn't allowed to rehome as I had a young child, so I bought 2 puppies instead. 8 years later, and they're asleep next to me right now.

The stats (partic in covid times) are often misleading (if not lies) The NHS is used as a political football by the public to have a rant which you have ably demonstarted and I suspect do on a regular basis to vent your misplaced anger...nasty tories eh.......it doesn't matter who is in power. Labour would no doubt put some more money in but that isn't the answer. Tax payers money is wasted on a daily basis on an industrial scale. I've spent a lifetime working WITHIN the NHS so maybe my views don't count as much as yours eh ? Most of the 'privatisation' you talk of was put in place under Labour in the Blair years. 13 of the last 24 years have been under a labour govt by the way. What the Tories don't deal with is the poor management of funds.

  We are in the number one spot for infections and deaths by a mile in Europe and fast approaching being the worst globally. Johnson and his ‘government’ should be prosecuted for endangering public health. They have abdicated all responsibility and the media has gone along with it until it’s now too late. you are completely right. It isn’t that hard to wear a mask from time to time. We only have to wear them in shops and on public transport. For everything else you must show a Covid certificate, you can get on by being vaccinated or pay for a test that gets you a certificate valid for 48 hours. Works well and life is back to normal. I don’t see the issue with wearing masks etc., I’d much rather that than long Covid or being dead or impacting someone else. It’s funny that people are so against these measures. Elaine Molyneux not true masks in public places like markets was withdrawn months ago in France indoor events same I went bowling for first time in 2 years and not one mask which shocked me.

 When I was 15 there was plenty of violent films around but my parents taught me right from wrong and its the same today. If they are not mature enough to watch it then don't let them. I did my degree dissertation on violent fantasy play in kids. Kids know the difference between play and reality much the same as adults do. My kids aren't allowed to watch the programme but I'm not going to ban them from playing red light green light, which is essentially what time is it Mr. Wolf? Come on, violence is bred from poor boundaries and a lack of moral compass. While allowing kids free reign of the telly can be a symptom of that, playing a game with an element of 'threat' isn't going to turn kids into violent murderers. It is far more damaging to deny them play. . Parents want to blame the programme because it is easier than admitting they are a lazy parent, and do not monitor what their small child is watching, be a more proactive parent.

 The fact that it took squid game to get these kids to play the same games we used to play before Netflix is hilarious. What are they going to do, shoot eachother? Players are eliminated. Just like in the original games. They’re not actually killing eachother. I love the media stirring things up. I've been on loads of places where parents are worried about it, their kids have mentioned playing it at school and then as soon as they actually ask them what it comprises of it's either the red light green light bit or the actual squid game on the ground. Kids will pick things up, even if they just see clips. My kids know all about but haven’t seen it, I can assure u. The reason they know about it is because it’s massive and it’s absolutely everywhere. There are games on roblox that are based on it now, fortnite also have games based on it too. YouTubers that kids watch are referencing it too. Obviously there will be the odd few that have seen it.

  When they face comments daily, patient by patient who expect more and more from them? Would you want to be a doctor in todays climate? Just saying. having worked in the vaccination programme I can tell you now that GPs played a very minor role. It was mainly hospital staff and volunteers because the GPs couldn’t make enough profit for it. A local pharmacy set up a vaccination centre in January or February and they've done a fantastic job supported by local Labour councillors an other volunteers. GP surgeries have more medical staff than just GPs, and I didn't see any GP doctors for either of my vaccines, or my 'flu jabs. I tried to get my last one from the surgery, but they didn't have any, so I went to a pharmacy.  They'll be so surprised when health is privatised, not having seen it coming as a result of lack of investment and too many 'wanting' health input. they are seeing as many people as they can, and doing what they can consider how many patients there are registered to any one surgery some 10, 20, 40+ thousand and how many GP's caring for them?
