  I think its because Canada has been far too busy pointing their finger at the USA and crucifying America for its poor handling of COVID, while Canada patted itself on the back. Now Canada’s focus seems to be abducting its own citizens after lawful essential travel and forcing them to stay in undisclosed locations without their belongings etc (see Global News article about the Canadian who returned from Florida to Calgary, and what they did to him). Canada has grossly mismanaged this pandemic within its borders, perhaps not in the same way we have mismanaged it in the USA, but by now being dependent on other countries to ship vaccine to Canada. Canada should have spent its time/energy/resources developing its own vaccine, for mass use within Canada. Instead, Canada is now begging US based Pfizer to supply vaccine. Canada has heckled the heck out of the USA - should have talked less, and focussed on your own strategy.
