 Sometimes I wake up around 12 or 1 am and am entirely awake and can't fall back asleep. Usually I get out of bed, do something like reading something, hanging the washing, even go for a short walk outside sometimes and then go back to sleep after 2 sometimes 3 hours and sleep again till 7 am or so. Apparently I found the biphasic sleep pattern all on my own. Interesting. I think that I might have gradually reverted to having two sleeps - possible only since retirement. On many occasions, if I have had an active day and I am not going out in the evening, I might be overcome with tiredness and have a snooze between (+/- half an hour) 8.00 and 10.00 pm.

The whole world cannot go vegan for the simple reason most of the Earth land is unsuitable for agriculture and only can sustain animals.

 Daily deaths and hospitalisations are a more concrete statistic of the severity of the pandemic than the number of daily reported cases as many people don't even bother to get a test done. Remember too that not all Covid cases are Omicron, more deadly Delta is still with us. So although I'm generally hopefully that we are fairly rapidly approaching the endemic phase I am concerned that this may be at least a couple of weeks too soon. NB supported by medical experts who give a far more detailed analysis of where we currently actually may be with the pandemic. I'm cautiously hopeful that my own employer might from a Health and Safety point of view take a far firmer stance for at least the next couple of weeks.

 This was kind of confirmed to me when I got covid in late Oct as an otherwise healthy 31yo who at the time was very active and I don't smoke, I was unvaccinated so was my mother and both of us were hospitalised when our oxygen levels dropped to 66% for my mother and I 60% after developing covid related pneumonia. We were both rushed in on blue lights and I was taken straight to Intensive care where I spent 11 days. Had we not been taken to hospital under the request of our GP who came to check on us we would have died. Also I wasn't the only younger healthy patient in intensive care either and the majority of the 40+ doctors and nurses I met stated the vast majority of ICU patients are either unvaccinated or not fully vaccinated at the time they got infected.

 Looking back it's wrong I realised a sign language is handy for hospitals, shops and in work etc. We as partially deaf people would have the best of both worlds. Another thing how many partially deaf people become deafer. I know my @hearing is bad now and I can't use a phone and have to wear head phones for TV rather than having TV blasting out and annoy my hubby or next door neighbour. All teachers should be taught bsl in their teacher training. It should be used daily while they teach the kids, so the kids grow up recognising and learning it.

 I grew up in a small village after the war in homes that the government built to accommodate people displaced by the war. We all came from London Liverpool and Ireland and happily melted into a little village. Most of us were poor having lost all of our possessions. One of my best friends was the product of a white British mother and a black American father who was absent in her life. I never once saw or heard anyone mention her race or the fact that her parents were not married. Everyone seemed to be happy living in the beautiful countryside and roaming freely.
