He does not create demand. Those who seek drugs do. They want them. Who are we to tell people what they can and cannot do with their lives. A policed state solves nothing. The death penalty solves nothing. Combating poverty and the reasons why people turn to drugs does. It costs inordinate amounts of money to put someone to death legally. That money would be better spent tacking the cause. You are uneducated on this subject clearly. To be honest, if this guy has had a completely fair trial and there are no mitigating circumstances, the only logical argument against the death penalty is that you can't rectify mistakes afterward. However given it's been 7 years since his original arrest, and the current Chinese regime being more than happy to fit people up when it suits them, I don't have any confidence that a fair trial has taken place.
