Oct. 5 in the Coolidge Auditorium of the Library of Congress, located in the Thomas Jefferson Building at 10 First Street S.E., Washington, D.C. The lecture, titled “Sovereignty and Legitimacy: On the Changing Face of Law—Questions and Speculations,” is sponsored by the Library of Congress and administered by the Law Library of Congress. The event is free and open to the public. Tickets are not required but seating is limited. There will be a reception immediately following the lecture in Room LJ-119. Born in Mandate Palestine (British Palestine), Raz graduated summa cum laude from The Hebrew University in Jerusalem with a Magister Juris (Master of Jurisprudence) and earned a doctorate from Oxford University.
