Emma Grant so what if you have to isolate and have had all 3 vacs, you get full sick pay even though you're still not at work. Surely this would just stop those isolating who haven't had the vaccine as they wouldn't want to, or afford to loose pay. So they'll carry on working. You can have it with no or minor symptoms. Doesn't help anybody. You don’t have to self isolate if you’ve had all three vaccines though, unless you get covid yourself. You can live with someone who is covid positive and still go to work.

 If people dont like it they should lobby to have it increased but nobody does. Also people on universal credit and other such benefits are paid less than that. Universal credit is currently £75 pw again that's the government not the companies, or the masses. Gareth Menzies Exactly - unvaccinated people still get sick pay if they test positive, the same as vaccinated people do. It’s simply if people are not testing positive but have to isolate anyway due to their own choices they won’t get enhancements above statutory sick pay. Nothing unfair there - vaccinated people still have to go to work in that situation so they aren’t getting sick pay either. Anya Bird why would you be punished for that.

 Ah but what is it with Downing Street and parties? I think Sue Gray should investigate the days that parties were not held, in that case her investigations will be much easier! Boris has lost all authority, respect, confidence and integrity. He should apologise to the queen and then hand in his resignation. So these evil people think they can just apologise their way out of everything. How about the police do their job and sack those officers who turned a blind eye to the goings on, and out of decency to Her Majesty and the general public each and everyone of the Conservative party who think these parts were justified or do the decent thing and resign ! Apologies are not going to be enough in this case!

 Sometimes I wake up around 12 or 1 am and am entirely awake and can't fall back asleep. Usually I get out of bed, do something like reading something, hanging the washing, even go for a short walk outside sometimes and then go back to sleep after 2 sometimes 3 hours and sleep again till 7 am or so. Apparently I found the biphasic sleep pattern all on my own. Interesting. I think that I might have gradually reverted to having two sleeps - possible only since retirement. On many occasions, if I have had an active day and I am not going out in the evening, I might be overcome with tiredness and have a snooze between (+/- half an hour) 8.00 and 10.00 pm.

 Also most people would be going to bed when dark and in the upper higher hemisphere where there is a fuckton of night. 3 am is also known as the witching hour, some say because its the opposite of 3pm when the jesus fella died but personally I'd say it has more to do with the divilment that went on between the 2 sleeps, On the following excerpt, "One colonial account from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil in 1555 described how the Tupinambá people would eat dinner after their first sleep, while another – from 19th Century Muscat, Oman – explained that the local people would retire for their first sleep before 22:00[...]" How does one say "colonial account", and then proceed to talk about the native people's of the respective country described?
